Many years ago we did a post on Papp Eyewear, they were doing some fun stuff with paper and eyeglasses. We thought we would take a quick peek to see what they were up to now and are we impressed.
New from Papp:
The frame of the PAPP UV – a natural blend of wood and cardboard made from one piece, and so lightweight, flexible and resilient, that they can be stuck in a book or in your pocket easily without creasing or tearing. More details make the PAPP UV to a Modern Collectible: The sun protection is a UV-400 polarizing filter which is made by certified optic manufacturers. Another feature is that the glasses are glazed, and each individual pair have a unique look. Aluminium plates attached at the end of the frames enable adjustment by slightly bending to your head shape. The labeled eyelets on the frame refer to the classic cardboard industry, and indicate that the PAPP UV is not shy about her source material. PAPP UV also takes great pride in being produced in Germany as well as being crafted to be sustainable.
