We have been watching Micromega Ottica in Italy for awhile as they always seem to come up with the unusual frame materials and lens shapes. Check out this eyewear made with basically twigs and some unique ways to hold the lenses to the twigs. Thinking about the construction on this, to be able to make a small hole without cracking either the wood or the lens just demonstrated the craftsmanship of these local eyewear artisans.
I always wonder.. how did they think of this? Was someone just walking down the street, picked up a piece of wood and say AHA! What could we do with this?
What we know, they are creative geniuses and Eco Friendly to boot.
We love them.. and worth a special visit, if I ever get to Italy again!
