San Diego (October 19, 2011) – Carl Zeiss Vision is very pleased to announce that it has licensed the VSP Optics Group to manufacture free-form back-surface progressive multifocal lenses under U.S. Patent No. 6,089,713.
The ‘713 patent describes the manufacture of back-surface progressive multifocal lenses whose front surface is rotationally symmetrical and whose design is determined by the individual prescriptions alone or in combination with at least one of: individual frame choice, lifestyle, wearer behavioral patterns and/or other options.
