Transitions Optical, Inc. has named Alexis Cardona as its chief marketing officer. Drawing from his deep experience in consumer marketing for numerous well-known brands, Cardona will develop and integrate the company’s global marketing and branding strategies. He will provide leadership in global consumer and trade communications, product and retail marketing, and professional/clinical education. Cardona will also serve as chair of the Transitions Global Marketing Council, and will spearhead identification and sharing of global business insights.

Cardona joins the Transitions team with 17 years of marketing experience, 15 of which were with Procter & Gamble leading several different brands and categories across various regions. During his tenure at Procter & Gamble, he helped develop the shopper marketing, multicultural marketing and global brand franchise organizations. Most recently he served as marketing director for the Global Oral Care Delivery business in both new product innovation and global delivery. He graduated from the University of Puerto Rico with a bachelor’s degree in business administration, majoring in marketing management.
