AM Eyewear returns with their 2018 collection ‘Mayan Gold’, inspired by the ancient culture of the Mayan people.


This season AM Eyewear has handcrafted an exquisite range plated with 9 ct,18 ct, 22 ct gold, as well as combinations of silver, rose gold, and copper elements across frames, hardware and ZEISS lenses. The creative process for Mayan Gold invoked the crisp, cool tones of rainforests and the application of precious minerals to create bespoke artifacts.


Within the collection, intricate and unexpected details of green, brown and turquoise sit alongside light pink and blue gradients, mother of pearl, gold and titanium, tipping a glass to the headpieces and patterns immortalised by a glorious rainforest civilization.


To capture the refined yet sweeping essence of this season, AM Eyewear have partnered with French photographer Stan Alleaume. Having developed under Jean Paul Gautier, AM Eyewear view Stan as an ideal photographic director for emerging models Léa Villani and Raphael Say.

Mayan Gold sees the introduction of 6 new silhouettes, hand-crafted primarily from super lightweight titanium and mirrored nylon ZEISS lenses that marry with AM Eyewear’s signature temple tips, and adjustable titanium nose pads, that can be manipulated for the perfect fit for both Asian and Western nose bridges, providing superior comfort.


This year marks the fifth anniversary of AM Eyewears exclusive partnership with ZEISS Lenses, upholding a long-running commitment to the highest optical care, craft and quality.
