Felder Felder via Silhouette FW 2014

Annette and Daniela Felder, the glamorous German twins behind the Felder Felder label, are taking the fashion world by storm – and now they are also collaborating with Silhouette on timeless, sophisticated creations. The Felder sisters have designed a bespoke selection of Silhouette glasses and limited edition lens cloths revealed during London Fashion Week, February 2014.

In their clothing line, the sisters work closely with textures and colors, and their Fall/Winter 2014 collection is all about warmth and comfort, inspired by warm tones. The timelessness of Felder Felder’s signature pieces translates into unique lens creations for Silhouette, guaranteed to cause a sensation.

“Our designs this season are inspired by visual artist Gerhard Richter and his unique use of color,” says Daniela Felder, who opted for hues in the Silhouette collection that are boldly unusual for eyewear. The result is refreshing, and complements the palette of the new Felder Felder line.
Felder Felder joined with Silhouette’s head designer Roland Keplinger and his team in Austria to develop these unique designs with a contemporary rimless interpretation, inspired by Audrey Hepburn’s classic frames. “It was really exciting for us to work together,” says Keplinger. Keplinger continues: “Designers are always surprised at the extent to which you can realize ideas with rimless eyewear. You can get very creative with the shape, color and size of the lenses. This series is so versatile it will inspire eyeglass wearers and eye care professionals, too.”
“The clarity and minimalism of the design of this rimless eyewear open up undreamed-of possibilities for individualizing and shading,” say the designer twins, delighted by the fact that this is their first eyewear collection to hit the catwalk.
