This is why I love Karun. Every time you think you have seen it all, a company such as Karun, out-creates. Their lastest recycled eyewear venture has taken recycled salmon leather or discarded Salmon Skin and made it into side shields for a true sustainable Patagonia mountain climbing look. The frames are from Patagonia trees and utilize sterling silver cable temples.

Who would thought to go to a salmon cannery, ask to use the skin which is discarded, dry it out and put it on sunglasses? I love it… By the way, the skins are dried and treated and do not smell.

Unfortunately is this only available in Chile and not until February of 2016
