(RANDOLPH, MA)—Randolph Engineering, Inc. Massachusetts’ premiere eyewear manufacturer announces its alliance with VintageAirRally Crete2Cape, the flying rally across Africa. The VintageAirRally launches and departs Crete on November 12th, with crews arriving in Cape Town five weeks later.

The VintageAirRally has 20 teams that will set out for the biplane rally and travel for 35 days across 11 countries. Randolph Engineering has provided frames to the pilots to best equip them for the journey. The reliable lenses will protect their eyes from ultraviolet rays and enhance their vision while flying.

“We are thrilled to be a part of this event and support the skilled pilots participating,” said Peter Waszkiewicz, President & CEO, Randolph Engineering, Inc. “This is an impressive expedition and we are confident that our sunglasses will provide the best protection and comfort for the pilots as they travel.”

Following in the footsteps of the pioneering flights in the 1920s – VintageAirRally connects some of the most beautiful and evocative points in Africa. Flying low along the Nile from Cairo to Khartoum, past the highlands of Ethiopia before the plains of Kenya and the home of African aviation in Nairobi. Then off again past Kilimanjaro into the Serengeti – and on to the spice island of Zanzibar. After a short pause to enjoy the
Indian Ocean, crews continue, crossing Zambia to Victoria Falls, before continuing to Bulawayo in Zimbabwe. Final days take them into, and across, stunning South Africa – to the Cape, journey’s end. The Vintage Air Rally is a Prepare2go endeavor. For more information on VintageAirRally, visit www.vintageairrally.com.
