PeaceplayersinternationalPenn Avenue Eyewear is happy to announce the addition of PeacePlayers International to its Give Back program. Announced in December 2013, the Give Back program allows customers to choose from a list of non-profit organizations at checkout and 10 percent of the total sale is donated to the chosen organization.

PeacePlayers International was founded in 2001 on the idea that “children who play together can learn to live together,” and uses basketball to bring kids together and teach them proven tactics for improving their communities. PPI uses unifying principles to bridge the gap between children in South Africa, Northern Ireland, Israel and the West Bank, and Cyprus.

As part of Penn Avenue Eyewear’s Give Back program, PPI will receive 10 percent of all sales designated by customers with the code “PPI10” at checkout.

“We’re excited to add PeacePlayers International to our list of supported charities,” said PAE Creative Director Caitlin Northup. “Its belief in using leadership, shared goals and sportsmanship to bridge neighborhoods and promote peaceful living and understanding in otherwise contending communities is something that everyone can learn from and live by.”

Penn Avenue Eyewear supports 21 charity and non-profit organizations, including Girls Who Code and other local and national organizations, and gives back 10 percent of all sales, as chosen by customers at checkout. A complete list of non-profits, and their corresponding codes, may be found here.
