As stylist to some of the most fashionable stars in Hollywood, Kate Young is renowned for bringing tomorrow’s styles to life on the red carpet. As consultant to top magazine editors and fashion designers, she not only helps define what’s now — she predicts what’s next.

It only makes sense that Kate Young would turn to Tura, the originator of eyewear as a fashion accessory, to help translate her visionary styling into optical fashion.

Tura has always been ahead-of-the-curve. Drawing over 75 years of innovation, Tura was the ideal partner to help translate Kate’s breakthrough styling into head-turning optical fashion. It was Tura, after all, that gave birth to the idea of the eyewear wardrobe as a fashion necessity.

Inspired by the Kate’s penchant for modern retro styling, the Kate Young collection pairs vintage components with decidedly updated silhouettes for beautifully original looks with standout details. Each style is designed in NYC and impeccably crafted for the chic style setter.

The rich color palette includes amber, tortoise and blush, crystal, khaki, black and grey. The collection consists of 6 optical styles and 8 sunglasses that feature unique metal details in a variety of finishes developed by Kate Young to create a statement.

Tura will be selling this exclusive collection at select high fashion optical boutiques. Qualifying accounts will enjoy the high fashion look book and unique packaging that accompanies the collection.

“I’m really excited about this project and wanted to create a vintage inspired collection that is sophisticated, elegant and timeless,” said Kate Young. “Tura has a tremendous heritage in the eyewear market but is also incredibly innovative, modern and focused on quality to make an ideal partnership.”

  1. I like the turn in style that this designer took with her eyewear collection. I’ve always been a fan of vintage eyeglasses, but I think I just might like this collection of vintage inspired glasses more because of the modern elements in each type of glasses that are featured in this post. My favorite is the Clubmaster because of how the metal wire was designed to look more elegant and modern to appeal to today’s buyers.
