Children and parents in the United Kingdom, Australia and Canada join the U.S. Ficklets’ fashion trend
Phoenix, AZ (PRWEB) January 27, 2010 — Ficklets LLC founder, Ros Guerrero has spent the last three years of her life on a mission to change children’s attitudes toward wearing eyeglasses. She says that eyeglasses shouldn’t be something embarrassing for a child to wear, but rather a way for a child to make a fashion statement. Today she announces that her small-but-growing eyeglass adornment company is acquiring global appeal and interest.
“I’ve quickly learned that eyeglass charms transcend style and cultural differences because I’m seeing orders pour in from customers around the world, including the United Kingdom, New Zealand, Australia, Canada, Venezuela, Dubai, Ireland and Russia,” says Guerrero. “This means children of any nationality are able to feel more confident when wearing their eyeglasses. The future is wide open for Ficklets.”
Ficklets Adds Style and Saves Families Money
Ficklets are patented interchangeable eyeglass charm huggers that adorn the frames of a child’s eyeglasses. They give the frames a fresh, stylish and fun look, enabling children to match their Ficklets charm to their clothes, mood or individual sense of style.
“I came up with the idea for Ficklets out of the desire to help my special needs daughter feel more comfortable, confident and beautiful in her eyeglasses. Now kids don’t call her names for wearing eyeglasses; rather they ask her about her Ficklets and say how cool she looks,” says Guerrero.
Not only did Ficklets help Guerrero’s daughter feel good about wearing glasses, but Guerrero adds that it has saved her family hundreds of dollars.
“To save money I decided that my daughter would keep her old frames for several years. Ficklets enabled us to give her glasses a fresh look without having to spend a lot of money!” she says.
Ficklets Looking for Partners in the U.S. and Internationally
Ficklets is a privately held company that has a large U.S. following already. However, Guerrero says that expansion plans occupy her mind these days, especially as orders from retailers and customers around the world increasingly come in.
“We are currently looking for wholesalers and retailers across the globe to help us bring Ficklets to eyeglass-wearing children everywhere. I want parents to be able to easily find Ficklets in every optical store and children’s boutique so they can give their children something to smile about. Children deserve to be proud and even excited about their four eyes,” says Guerrero.
Ficklets are available in more than 100 charm styles. More information about Ficklets, including where to buy a pair, is found online at www.Ficklets.com.
Ficklets are the first and only interchangeable eyewear charm huggers that are designed to adorn children’s eyeglass frames. Ficklets give any pair of eyeglasses an updated, fun and fresh look so children feel more comfortable and confident in their glasses. Ficklets, a word derived from “fickle,” which means to “change often,” was founded in 2007 by Phoenix-based mom, Ros Guerrero. The product received a U.S. patent in 2009. They say necessity is the mother of all invention and no one understands this adage more than Guerrero. She invented Ficklets out of a need to help her 14-year-old special needs daughter feel more beautiful in her eyeglasses. Ficklets eyeglass charms did the trick and Guerrero hasn’t looked back since.
