Article One Eyewear has a vision to increase Vitamin A supplements in developing countries. Vitamin A deficiency is a leading cause of blindness, with over 1 Million kids a year going blind due to a lack of Vitamin A. They have partnered with Helen Keller International by donating $2 from the sale of each eyeglass for the distribution of Vitamin A supplements globally. Essentially by purchasing one pair of Article One frames helps to save the sight of 2 children per year. That is sustainable eyewear.

They sent us this excellent video of their recent trip to Italy to visit how their frames are handmade in Italy. To start a trip to the Mazzucchelli 1849 factory to show how acetate sheets are made to another factory to show frames production and finishing. A beautiful video, one that shows the pride that the Italians take in their Eyewear.
