Hauppauge, NY – April 2015 – Optical industry leader ClearVision Optical has been named one of 2015’s Best Companies to Work for in New York State by The New York State Society for Human Resource Management (NYSSHRM). The company was recognized at a recent awards gala held in Albany, NY.

ClearVision is one of only four Long Island companies recognized in this year’s annual competition, among both small/medium-sized employers (15 to 249 U.S. employees) and large employers (250+ employees). ClearVision was selected as a winner in the former category.

Created in 2007, the celebrated Best Companies to Work for in New York State awards are part of a distinctive program that evaluates and ranks the best places of employment. It is designed to identify, recognize and celebrate the state of New York’s elite employers, which have proven that they know what it takes to create an environment where people love to come to work.

“Each member of the ClearVision family has played a pivotal role in creating this exceptional culture and we couldn’t be more proud of this recognition,” says ClearVision Senior Talent Leader Jennifer Trakhtenberg. “Since its establishment over 65 years ago, ClearVision has always lived by the credo of making each day better for someone else. It is woven throughout every interaction we have with our customers, community, and colleagues.  We have consciously attracted and retained talented individuals who embrace similar values and are driven to make their career an enriching experience.  By pairing these great people with our creative approach to recognition, inclusive polices, engaging employee activities, a commitment to continuous learning, an extensive philanthropic effort, and an upbeat and fun environment, we believe yields us a great place to work.   Our employees consistently let us know that they love coming to work at ClearVision.”

To be considered for participation, ClearVision had to fulfill specific registration eligibility requirements, and then participate in a two-part survey of employee satisfaction and engagement, as well as workplace practices and policies. Best Companies Group, an independent firm that manages Best Places to Work programs on state, regional and national levels around the world, conducted the survey process, then evaluated the results and determined the best places of employment in the Empire State.

The 2015 Best Companies to Work for in New York State Awards are presented by major sponsor: Ryan, as well as five supporting sponsors: District Physicians’ Health Plan, Inc. (CDPHP®), Broadridge Financial Solutions and Anchin, Block & Anchin LLP. The program is a partnership of NYSSHRM, The Business Council of New York, Best Companies Group and Journal Multimedia Corporation.
