Most of the world has mourned Cecil, the protected lion that was killed by a trophy hunter. Unfortunately, big game/trophy hunting is big business and said to bring in $200 Million to the economy in Africa. Lions are not the only cats that are hunted. Leopards are also hunted and poached with most of them endangered from illegal hunting, poaching and loss of habitat.
For National Wildlife Day September 4 we want to honor Leopards. Leopards coats can vary between creams, pale yellows, tawny, black and grey. The spots are called rosettes and can be differentiated by habitats along with coloring.
We have picked out rosetted eyewear and sunwear that make a perfect choice for National Wildlife Day. The combination of cream, golds, grey and black make this the perfect accessory to wear to celebrate and bring attention to the fate of leopards and big cats though out the world. Happy National Wildlife Day..
Other Animal and Cat Holidays are: Endangered Species Day May 15, World Animal Month is October, National Cat Day is October 29 and National Day of Animals Right is December 10.
