There is a new kid on the block in the world of camera sunglasses: Acton. The company has developed a pair of sunglasses called ACE Eyewear that can shoot photos and videos and post them to Facebook, YouTube, and Instagram.

The glasses have an 8-megapixel sensor with a Dual Core MIPS 1.2 GHz processor, providing “ultra-low power consumption.” They are capable of recording JPEG images, as well as HD video at 24 fps continuously for up to 40 minutes. There’s also a built-in microphone for audio capture. The lens provides a 120-degree wide-angle view, giving a real POV perspective to footage. Photos or videos can be recorded with a single click of the dedicated shutter buttons.

ACE Eyewear features live streaming, via the dedicated ACTON app, onto Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube.  The glasses weigh 50 grams (1.76 ounces) and have a battery life of about 8 hours on standby, and 1.5 hours when continuously recording. They are waterproof and rustproof to an IP55 rating.
