Up-and-coming musical acts from throughout the country, all vying for a spot at Disney’s Night of Joy, gathered to perform on the Eyes of Faith Stage. Eyes of Faith Optical was the featured sponsor of last week’s Talent Spotlight. The top 26 finishers will perform this weekend at Disney’s Night of Joy 2010.
“Christian music is a powerful, unifying force in the world,” said Jim Schneider, co-founder and Director of Purpose for Eyes of Faith Optical. “Our search for talent is about bringing people together — gifted artists, our optical partners — and not just listening to music but experiencing what is possible when talent, faith, and vision come together.”
The musically-diverse Night of Joy event is held every year at Disney’s Magic Kingdom. Top contemporary Christian artists, including Chris Tomlin, David Crowder Band, MercyMe, Casting Crowns, Third Day, and Family Force 5 are scheduled to perform on stages throughout the park during the two-day event.
“The Eyes of Faith styles are some of the most innovative and exciting I’ve seen in a long time,” said Dr. Karen Perry, who attended the Night of Joy talent search last week and is an Eyes of Faith optical partner. “But you don’t have to be around the Eyes of Faith team for very long before you realize their style is only a starting point. Their passion to touch lives is evident in everything they do, including bringing my team here to help drive new patients to our practice.”
Eyes of Faith Optical is a new brand of eyewear built on Purpose, Passion and Style. Through the Eyes of Faith Foundation, the company lives out its Purpose and donates 10% of gross sales each year to reputable children’s charities. In partnership with RestoringVision.org, Eyes of Faith also donates a pair of reading glasses to mission groups for every single frame purchased. Eyes of Faith creates and distributes fashion-forward frames and it is the unique Eyes of Faith Style that fuels the company’s Passion to provide hope to those who have known only despair. Since its founding a year ago, the demand for Eyes of Faith frames has far exceeded all projections. Eyes of Faith is the first ophthalmic line to be distributed exclusively through eyecare professionals.
“Eyes of Faith’s role in the talent search is an extension of the company’s unrelenting commitment to its purpose,” said Al Denson, head of Celebration Ministries, which co-sponsored the event. “I think we are watching something truly unique in the development of Eyes of Faith. They are gaining momentum as one of the country’s most innovative eyewear companies and, at the same time, using their success to help others. Giving something back is not merely an obligation or responsibility — it is their focus and passion.”
