CHARRIOL Launches Its New SportS Eyewear Collection in Manila On the 14th of November 2011, CHARRIOL launched its SportS Eyewear collection at Resorts World in Newsport City, Manila. The CHARRIOL Eyewear line has always been successful and popular in the Philippine market, and the launch was another way to celebrate the bond between the brand and its fans.
CHARRIOL started creating eyewear 15 years ago as a complementary ‘lifestyle’ product line two its two main categories of watches and jewelry. The SportS Eyewear collection was conceptualized and inspired by Philippe Charriol’s love for car racing – a passion which he actively pursues until today. The pieces are both young and trendy, and can be distinguished by black, red, and gray design elements.
A race-inspired event theme was conceived to accompany the launch of the collection. The decoration sets were reminiscent of a race track or pit lane, with tires and black and white checkered flags bearing the CHARRIOL logo, remembering the spirit of sport and competition.
To support the launch of the new line, videos of CHARRIOL-sponsored race cars were also shown to onlookers. Guests were invited to a cocktail reception; among them were many fans, fashion and lifestyle press, as well as local personalities.
Philippe Charriol shared a few words with an eager crowd and imparted his thoughts and vision on the line. Luc Magoritora de Barnier, from Grosfilley Lunettes, then made a short speech on the high-tech approach that was used to produce the collection. Source
