StyleMark AG (Polaroid Eyewear) has secured one of the most sought-after contracts in the premium brand eyewear market, after agreeing to a six year exclusive licensing deal between their JV company StyleMark China and BMW in Munich.
Through this exclusive agreement, StyleMark will supply and distribute BMW branded premium ranges of sunglasses and premium optical frames via StyleMark China which has been successfully operating in the China Mainland market since 2008. With its close-to double digit economic growth and a rapidly expanding domestic market of middle and high income earning consumers, China is expected to become one of the most important markets for high end and luxury goods over the next five years. StyleMark China will be launching the new BMW Premium Eyewear collection at the world-renowned China International Optics Fair in February 2011 in Shanghai.
The agreement with BMW opens the way to distribution in the rapidly growing economies of Russia and India too. A range of MINI Premium Eyewear is also included in the agreement for this well-loved BMW Group brand.

The unique frames translate BMW styling from the world of automobiles to create powerful, dynamic, fluid eyewear styles. Expertly designed, every pair will feature the BMW logo on the temple arms and provide perfect optics and a perfect fit. The premium collection will be particularly good for drivers – giving superb optical clarity in all light and weather conditions while minimising eye fatigue. The exclusive collection will be distributed to optical and other premium stores.
StyleMark is also introducing BMW branded premium optical frames which can be fitted with prescription sunglass lenses and will come in unique designs and superb quality.
